Will the handicap parking spots be available or will USAC and other venders take these spots???

Lincoln Park Speedway 7/24/19 9:01 AM

Handicapped parking is clearly marked with handicapped signage. And with the location of the USAC Merchandise Midway, those spots that are taken up are then relocated around the outside of the midway. In addition, Security does a walk through and checks for proper placards on vehicles that are parked in these spots.

Kids 10 and under are free. Minors under 18 will need minor insurance paperwork that you can print off the LPS website or fill out onsite. A legal guardian (parent or guardian) must fill out the paperwork with signatures, plus you must have a birth certificate or guardianship papers. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, older siblings etc. do not meet the qualification of legal guardian.

Can the sanction body and the track ever email each other and get an agenda? There are several reasons why some of the best entertainment in the world is played out in front of 1200 people!

Only two classes at LP? Saints be praised.

A driver that deserves mention here is Brandon Mattox. Man, was he ever tough tonight! Taking spots and fending off challenges from a list that includes many of the USAC top ten in points. With racing budgets that he could probably only dream of. And Shane Cottle, Jason McDougal and Brady Short fought their way from the back, to increase their payday. Cottle earned both the Hard Work and Hard Charger Awards, on his way to the top ten, all the way from the C Main. And to the winner, who led all 30 laps. It was no drive in the park for him though (except it kinda was, since it was at Lincoln Park:)) , as he had Brady Bacon and CJ Leary stalking him the whole way. Late in the race, he and Bacon encountered a couple of lapped cars. Kyle slipped under them on the backstretch and Brady had to fight his way around them. That was the knockout punch and you knew it was over, at that point. It was a well run show, even though they had to overcome a transformer problem that sparked by the turn 1 grandstand. It was a nice car count of 40 cars and an enormous crowd. That place was jam packed. Pretty good for a Thursday night.

I was just about to ask if anyone saw the phenomenal racing (even the Super Stocks) and A+ effort by Spiker and Company. Jerry did...hope at least 10 or 11 more folks saw it too...

Yeah, the battle for the lead and that finish in the Super Stock feature was great. What did he win by? A foot, maybe two at the most?

Jerry
