I’m beginning to warm to indycar racing again. Been to a couple of races and enjoy televised events as well. Hopefully it is on an upswing and just as hopefully (money probably makes it impossible) some local dirt slingers will get opportunities.

Love to see it, but Windom had a shot and had a miserable month of May. Now if someone would put Kody Swanson in an IndyCar, that could get interesting

did anyone else see the all ladies race the other night, in some kind of formula cars, maybe Dutch or something, the racing was good, and I liked the way they had done the splitter on the driver's front, looked a lot better to me than the Indy cars came up with.

That would be the W Series. Supposed to be like F1 for women. Which many women (including Pippa Mann) object to because it's very existence implies women can't compete equally with men

I am heading to Mid Ohio Friday and looking forward to it

Been following the W-Series. The cars are Tatuus F3 T-318 a Formula 3 Spec FIA car. The first race was a bit of a crash fest, but its been better the past 4 races. There are a total of 6 races in the series and the next/final one is at Brands Hatch Aug 10-11. Two Americans in the series, but only Sabré Cook has scored any points, she in 13th right now.

No idea what the champ gets. Should be a set up into the regular F3 or F2 series.

Something Pippa REALLY objected to was it was originally going to be called something like "The Handmaiden's Series", which she found really offensive.

On the bright side, you taped a good IMSA race from Lime Rock (even though they went to a commercial with about five minutes left in the race). It was supposed to air (tape delayed from the afternoon) AFTER the IndyCar race at 2130, but they upped the time due to the Iowa weather.

So, the fans who set their tapes to start at 2130 got the IMSA race with about 30 minutes left. The fans who set their tapes to watch the IndyCars ran out of tape.

I've had worse things happen this week..... :)
