Paragon\ Weather

Last year Paragon moved the schedule ahead by a few hours. IMO it was a home run move. It was the time change that was the main factor in my going. Pure speculation on my part but I think more people showed up. I remember being surprisingly comfortable until sometime during the feature than a chill started to set in. Mid 50s is more tolerable at 4p to 8p then it is from 6p to 10p. It would be nice to see more tracks adopt a springtime early start policy. (Mar. Apr. May) JMO Would probably increase attendance at both gates plus getting home at a reasonable hour. Another advantage you dont need as much ice

Thanks for posting the times. I was searching for that starting time info and finally found it, too.

Does Paragon qualify for this event? I don't see any info mentioning qualifying.

Postponed to March 29th.

The Paragon Facebook page shows that it is rescheduled to March 29 due to damage at the facility by today’s storms AND excessive rainfall.

With less than 48 hours to go for the start of the original race date, I am amazed that the Paragon Speedway website has not been updated to reflect this postponement. The time clock counting down to the 3/16 date is still going. There is a little blurb next to it noting that 3/29/2024 is the next event.

I just hope anyone not following this news on IOW is not caught out by the lack of effort in updating their website.

If it was like Winchester indiana, it might not be a priority to get the website updated, just sayin

For a guy that doesn't get to as many as he'd like, I'm sure this is an exciting day for you.

I was there as well. Good crowd and yeah the racing wasn’t much. I’m glad they shortened that mod feature, that was painful

Love him or hate him. A big shout out to James Essex and the Northern All Stars. Last year this field was 20 cars. This year 32.

I never thought I'd see Josh Rice run the bottom a whole fiddy laps. But then again, there wasn't much to call a cushion. track was smooth but hard packed.
