Re: Iow slow?

I have been seeing it too. Just on IOW, not other sites. I checked my down load speed on OOKLA speed test and my modem is down loading at 125 Mbps.

TQ29m 1/9/24 5:30 PM

Yes, mine as well, only on IOW, but my crappy wifi provider is max at 25mbps,Frontier if you're interested!

Re: Iow slow?

Yup. Slow down here in Texas, too.

azsprintfan1 1/10/24 1:20 PM

Re: Iow slow?

Yeah slow here in Phoenix too.

TQ29m 1/10/24 2:14 PM

Or in my case, sometimes not at all, really slow, been that for way too long

Mrs G 1/10/24 5:29 PM

Happy New Year!

As some of you may know, I work for an electric utility and we’ve been pretty busy the last few days. I apologize that I’m just now seeing this thread. I’ve submitted a ticket to see if we can’t get the issue resolved.

So sorry for any inconvenience caused!

TQ29m 1/10/24 5:33 PM

Thank you very much, I'm 86 and don't know how much longer I can wait

BLASTER1 1/10/24 9:23 PM

The pop up adds is what’s slowing everything down….. unreal!

miledirt 1/11/24 10:01 AM

Re: Iow slow?

ThrowbackRacingTeam 1/11/24 11:37 AM

Probably jammed up with winged sprint car posts.

DirtTrackTherapy16J 1/11/24 12:18 PM

It appears to be working much better and faster today on my end. Whoever did whatever, thank you very much for your time and help.

Fixed, thanks Mrs. G.

Re: Iow slow?

I was just getting online to confirm, and it looks like response times are much better. I appreciate the patience and understanding of those that allowed me an opportunity to get the issue resolved!

Again, my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused!

I think IOW members should buy BoBo a free beer if you see him at a race this year for bringing this problem up and getting it fixed. :32: Of course as a friend I get the first sip :3:

TQ29m 1/11/24 9:52 PM

Mine is better but not fixed, I use my phone mostly, but here lately I have to tap the Fwd button to get it to load, once its loaded its much better?

Chief Wahoo 3/28/24 11:39 AM

Re: Iow slow?

It’s happening again. Anyone else?

TQ29m 3/28/24 11:46 AM

Yes, thought it was just me, started yesterday, slower than pond water again, but I also have a very crappy provider!

Danny Burton 3/28/24 1:20 PM

Re: Iow slow?

I'm at Lake Lure, NC now and everything is slow down here. Wish a slow IOW was my biggest problem.

Rpracing1 3/28/24 1:54 PM

Re: Iow slow?

Slow as a car 3 laps down to the leader................

miledirt 3/29/24 7:53 AM

Re: Iow slow?

Definitely slower than usual, a pretty good pause before a page loads up

stp6237 3/29/24 9:02 AM

Re: Iow slow?

Also slow here in Philadelphia, PA area, but I don't have my school van runs back until Tuesday so I have time to wait. So far no issue with Flo and there are a few races I plan to watch tonight and tomorrow so again all is acceptable.

Chief Wahoo 6/5/24 3:19 PM

Re: Iow slow?

Think traffic on I465 is faster right now.

TQ29m 6/5/24 3:35 PM

Re: Iow slow?

Yes, I would have to agree, I just assumed it was my provider, but maybe I assumed wrong, and I've only been wrong once in my life, and I was right that time, only thought I was wrong!

Jerry Shaw 6/5/24 7:50 PM

Re: Iow slow?

I'm a little slow too, at times, so I'm not going to point any fingers.:3:

Slow and full of ads

Hubie48 6/6/24 5:35 AM

Re: Iow slow?

Flat out wont load on my phone

PC in the office it only takes about 45 seconds!

captrat 6/6/24 6:40 PM

I wonder if the amount of popup ads are having an affect. Seems to be quite a bit more.

Re: Iow slow?

This problem is getting really annoying! I have a high speed connection and this site takes forever to load and navigate!! I have no problem with any other sites, just IOW!
Throughout the day as I read books online, check various news sites and social media, I skip going to IOW, which used to be my go to site when surfing, because of this frustrating lack of performance.
Sadly, I believe Bill Gardner must be turning in his grave if he can see how horrible the performance of his site has become!

TQ29m 6/14/24 12:08 PM

Re: Iow slow?

Yes, right now it is slower than my crappy provider, and it is in the lower 05's in MBPS, not GBPS!
Bob
