Re: PowerI updates from Ill

I know Brad Loyet very well and some of these comments people are making about him and his family are just ignorant. Someone stated that nobody has ever wrecked Brad. I watched him get punted out of Sun Prairie, watched him get punted out of Beaver Dam, and watched him inflict some pain upon himself at Knoxville and Dodge County. As much as Brad races and other sprint and midget drivers run, you will tear stuff up and you will get tore up.

When Brad comes to the track he is there to win. He kind of reminds me of a fella by the name of Ballou and another guy named Hockett. First of all I love watching Robert Ballou and Jesse Hockett race. How could you not. They comes to win, they tear stuff up, and can throw a slide job with the best of them. When Stanbrough flipped down the front straight at Haubstadt I did not see anyone yelling and screaming on the internet. Even A.J. Fleker, I loved to watch him race, but you never knew when the next flip would come. Eldora and Pecatonica come to mind. Ouch. I have seen Mr. Felker bend a nerf bar or two. I am not bashing any of these guys, because they are the reason people keep going.

I also found this in the POWRi rules. I was not at DuQuoin, but were these rules enforced the way the rulebook states.

G. Rough Driving:
1st Offense – Driver will go to tail.
2nd Offense – Driver will be disqualified, receive no points and no pay.

H. Slide Jobs:
Must clear the driver you are attempting to pass!

I. Retaliation:
During a yellow or after the event, you will be disqualified, receive no points and no pay – No Second Chance.

2. No participant shall strike or cause bodily harm to any person at the track. Anyone found guilty will be fined $200 and suspended for 2 events.

I do believe there is some jealousy and anomosity toward Loyet Motorsports becuase of what they do have and others do not have. I think POWRi was hoping Brad would go away, but I think the desire to win will increase even more. I sure hope so. God I am looking forward to Jacksonville and Macon. I really have enjoyed reading though.
