There is not really a "central" camping area from which to travel the full circuit. All of the tracks have at least dry camping facilities. Terre Haute and Lawrenceburg have limited hookups. Seems that every year they get close to capacity quicker than the year before, but I have never yet been unable to find a space.

I don't camp, but I believe that all of the tracks have some sort of camping facilities. I have done Sprint Week both ways, staying at local hotels and staying in the Indianapolis area and "commuting". Since I have camera equipment and such to lug and need work space, being centrally located in Indianapolis works best for me. For the last two races, which are Bloomington and Haubstadt, I go ahead and get local lodging, since they are both "on the way home" and it doesn't make sense for me to double back to Indianapolis. Any way you do it will be a blast.
