I don’t know if rules changed, but the number of racetracks certainly has. As a result, fans are traveling from further away. In most cases, they are traveling to see sprint cars, midgets, or late models and not support classes. Conversely, most support class fans are from the local area watching friends and family compete. The extra 30-45 minutes it takes the support classes to run features are 30-45 minutes later the traveling fans get home.
