Well done BC. There's also a few other open wheelers of note in that lineup. I'm presuming that Michael Annett is related to Harold (TMC trucking) that used to own Sammy Swindell's car.

I thought we blasted Chis Nunn to bits for talking about stock car racing. Me inclued. How is this any different. I am a fan of sprint car drivers who continue to be sprint car drivers. I visit this form to talk about INDIANA OPEN WHEEL RACING. Don't get me wrong I am sure Clawson is a very nice guy and a good driver. Rename this board to Indiana Racing, that would open it up to all kinds of different types of racing. But I do not think I would want to be the moderater :)

This is not going to be a popular point, but it is a valid one. Perhaps we can have a stock car thread or even a forum included here. You know keep the "open wheel" part all "open wheel" and not corrupt it with the latest saga of dale jr's new number etc.

Give me a break, this is a young man who we have watched grow up and race open wheelers and is also a member of this board. What Nunn was talking about was dirt late models, that had nothing to do with the drivers that most on this board pay attention to(well maybe Wayne Chinn who used to drive midgets). If he doesn't deserve to be talked about here then many of us need to go somewhere else. Are you jealous or something? BTW learn to spell too, thats what the squiggly lines under the words are for, mis-spellings.

Then why in the he11 would you waste your precious time visiting a thread titled "Re: Clauson on pole@Talladega ARCA"? The title gives those that might be upset by seeing NASCAR subject matter, fair warning. And as John said, Bryan's a board member and friend to many people on this board.

First of all its Clauson not Clawson(except if your name is jjones:D ) and since you mentioned him by name then you made it about him. It could just as easily been about Dwight talking about Bobby Santos....or Josh Wise, or Stewart, Kahne, Gordon, Aligaier, Schrader, and on and on..... Secondly if we are talking about former open wheel drivers making their way up the ladder(or to the top of the ladder) then in essence we are still talking about open wheel racing. Third Shaw is indeed his real name. You really dont want to take him on in public on the board here, trust me you will lose that argument. If you cant see the difference between the original post and Mr Nunn's complaints about some of us calling stock cars mudcabs and insisting that we be more open minded about the types of racing that we choose to follow(among other things) then there isn't much more I can say because you just don't seem to get the point.

there were 58 cars to attempt to get into the field with 55 taking time at the largest and highest banked Speedway in the country and as RichC pointed out 5 of the top seven were from the open wheel ranks.

I am sorry I can not spell alot of words right. But I do like to talk about midget and and sprint car racing in Indiana. I do get the point "20" INDIANA OPEN WHEEL RACING message board. How much clearer can that be. Start a board called Indiana sprint car and midget drivers who went to ARCA or where ever board. If you do not think Stanbrough, Cottle, etc. etc. are not the best drivers in the world why do you go to sprint car races? Do you go to alot ARCA or NASCAR races? Just asking.
I totally agree that I would lose a war of words with Jerry Shaw but he said what he said and he can not take it back.

No I dont go to alot of NASCAR or ARCA races but I did drive to Nashville,Tenn and I'm going to Phoenix to watch BC in a stock car(and a midget too). I pay attention to the races that he and others who came up around here run in. Thats my point we are interested in the individuals more than the type of racing. OK? This is from someone who sold prime Brickyard tickets because they moved it so late I wouldnt be able to get to Kokomo early enough.

I find this whole arguement about BC completely pointless. Bryan is one of us and if he was racing powerboats we would still talk about him. So if you want this to be about strictly open wheel I will never forget BC's win over Dickie in the Gaines at the Burg. that was one of the best sprint races I ever saw. so here's to being politically correct

Contract or no contract. All Bryan has to do is keep turning heads. He will get a cup ride if he keeps his nose clean and keeps striving.
Luckily still. Nascrap isn't all about money, It helps for teams like Hendrick and Gibbs but theres still rides for standout drivers. Im actually waiting for Tony Stewart to start his own NASCAR team so when his contract with Gibbs is over, He can either drive himself or put the drivers he has in development in. Honestly, I know his heart is in the short tracks.

I don't get that. Honestly within Two years I bet you'll have Toyotas on 1/3rd of the poles.
Toyota got the shaft quite honestly. They intended on entering Nascar with their truck engine, Then at the last minute Nascar told them it was illegal and they had to scramble to come up with a different program. They've been basically running the whole cup program this year with their Bush engines.
Also starting teams in a season that is fielding two different kinds of cars is a added burden. Twice the testing needed ect.
